re: Mikes problem with carbon on plugs, My plugs were black too. I found a adjustment screw under thecontrol linkage,I think it is the idle adj. screw, I turned it in a bit and the plugs look better. I also took the carb apart and bent the spring above the float a little bit and it seems to have stoped the dripping after shut off.
