Hello Cruiserdog,

In general, I would try to keep your Amphicar "appearing" as stock as
possible. Gordon's has most of what you'd need in that area.
Sometimes his prices are just fine, othertimes they seem pretty high.
High, that is, until you price parts for a contemporary German car.
I've heard of $350 tail lights for Mercedes lately.

When it comes to seals there are often many things that "will work".
I've looked at all the door seals that people have offered and ended
up using the latest type from Hugh Gordon. They are simply a better
material than anything else that's available and since seals are so
critical, it is foolish to skimp on these things. Most of them
aren't even that expensive.

I've switched my two cars to negative ground, with alternators and
use a much stronger clutch system that I developed. These things
don't show and make for a more reliable and better performing car.
But even there, I use alternators and mounts from later Triumph
Spitfire cars since it makes for an original looking installation.
