Brake Cable Routing ???

Hi All,

I have never been very good at puzzles so I am now
stumped.

I am attempting to replace my parking brake cables.
The new cable has a clevis and nuts on one side to go
through the brake backing plate. That part I am OK
with.

The problem is, how do I get the cable through the
hull so that the ruber boot is on the correct side of
the hull. The hard plastic bushing that sits in the
rubber boot is too wide to slide through the routing
pipe in the hull. The threaded ends are crimped to
the wire.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Mike I.
