Thanks John & Scott too. I can't believe that Hagerty gave me such a high price compared to some other prices I'm now hearing about. I'll call State Farm as well as Continental Western (when I get their phone #), & American Collector. I'll send out prices when I get more.
I'm using a value of $40,000. That was another issue: at what price tovalue the car? Thanks again. Ina

Ina,
I've been with State Farm for years and they insure my Amphicars at a
stated value of $45,000 for $270/yr. I have several cars with them
and the underwriter promises me they'll cover it for whatever happens
to it on land or water. I believe I have a 5000 mile/yr resitriction
on them but that's not much of a bother even though I drive mine all
the time and don't trailer them.
I want to get them to boost the stated value on the cars but they
wanted some verification of their value. I sent them a DVD of the
Barret Jackson auction. I haven't heard back from them yet.
