Just my too cents, but first thing for a hot engine on this car would be to check to see that the rubber leal around radiator shroud is in good shape and sealing the intake side from the exhaust side, if they mix, you just keep getting hotter and hotter air thru the radiator. Next thing, take out the thermostat, unless you live up north and need to warm it up to get the heater hot fast, mine has no thermostat and runs at 160F water temp, I have gauges so this is not a guess--good luck
