I believe this issue may have been posted a while back.

I'm installing new axles in my car. The first one went well. The
second one was going very well until I tried to remove the tranny
seal. The axle is actually in very good shape and the later style
leading me to believe that the previous owner had replaced it some
years back. My fear is that he may have used something like Lock Tite
when replacing the seal.

The first seal 'popped' out fairly easy. I reached up there with a
cotter pin removal hook, got behind it and gave a good yank. This
rotten bugger on the other hand won't budge.

Any suggestions?

I'd kinda like to do a road trip next week.
