This happen to me a few years back here in PA.

Found an Amphi and even got it started when they said no way. Showed
them a lot of things. Told them to call me when they settled the
estate. I finally called a year later and it was just being sold.
They said I didn't offer them enough money. I said I didn't even make
them a offer. They apologized and realized they made a mistake as I
was first in line. Too late, car left to its new home 3,000 miles
away a few weeks later.
