Floating quietly, engine off, in a
lake cul-de-sac. Baby ducks in the
reeds, moms quacking "Stay away from
that Amphicar... unless he has food."
We had bread crumbs to share when
suddenly a whirly-bird helicopter
hugs the surrounding canyon and
passes overhead barely 50ft overhead.
Copter had a big long hose and hovered
over the lake sucking up water for
battling a fire a few miles away.
Bit of a shocker but a happy ending
for all (the fire is out, baby ducks
back to normal, Amphi & company had
another wonderful day).

Hey Dave, will the new barn have a
disco ball and fridge? There's a
Brazilian waitress who wants to know.
