Insurance Question - 04-26-2008, 08:47 AM

I am surprised to read your note. My insurance is with Hagerty & I'm sure I got insurance with them before my Amphicar was 'swimable'. I know I didn't worry about insurance when it was still in the early stages but I know I purchased insurance after I spent over many thousands of dollars (decided not to put an amount) for rebuilding. Have you asked to speak to a supervisor? Ina

Subject: [General Amphicar Discussion-t-19964] Insurance Question

Greetings all,
I have a running/swimming Amphicar insured through Hagerty. I have a second Amphicar that is approximately 60% complete yet Hagerty will not insure an incomplete car. Do any of you carry insurance on an incomplete car and if so who is your insurance through? Frankly I think its not how Hagerty or any other insurance carrier should be treating me. I've got a lot of money invested in the car and I veiw that as X amount of value which they should be happy to insure.

Thanks in advance for any information/comments.
