Tommy,
That's an S-8 SC (single contact) socket so there are a number of
bulbs to choose from:
93 = 13W
1141 = 18W
1073 = 23W
1156 = 27W
I thought the pole light lens is glass so heat shouldn't be an issue
like on the front marine light.
