The fellow I got if off of in Manatoba had it in dry storage since 91 and did nothing to it.
The brakes do not work but I drove it up and down my Runway, no it would not swim in present condition due to rust (Holes)in rear Quaters and battery area.
Basic prices for Amphicars has gone up since 2005... a car like this is now $18,000!!!! big news price REDUCED TO $16000.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a car that is rought but swims is now $25,000. a car that looks ok but needs usual work is $35,000. a car that was restored many years ago brings 45-50,000. and a fresh restored car brings $55 to????Lests just say the 4 good cars I have would not be sold for 100,000.00
To redo a Amphicar,, if its a rough one like this or a mediuim car you are still going to spend between 25 and $50,000. to have it done up ..better than new by me.
If you would like to see some of the Amphicars I have done over the years(15) email me off line or come to the Orillia swin June 20-22ed 08.
