Amphipoda & Mermaid do Celina (part 1 of 10) - 07-31-2000, 09:51 AM

Just getting there was an adventure... Friday:
In SD airport watching CNN news about some nut in NY airport
with a gun. Then some nut tried to attack me with a razor...
thank goodness it wasn't plugged it. Weather in Pittsburgh
was ugly, flight diverted to Cleveland due to storm. But
Cleveland was too crowded and was also begining to storm.
Captain announed we were low on fuel and would "try" for Indy.
Landed with 10 minutes of fuel left to a runway lined with
ambulances and fire trucks. Sheesh... what a start. Rented
a non-amphibious Pontiac Trans-Am and drove from Indy to Celina.

Part 2 highlights to come soon. I got the message about my
postings being too long, so I'll do my best to condense and
spread them out over the next 2 weeks. However, I may revert
to massive non-sensical ramblings at any time... tis my nature.

Note new e-mail address is Amphipoda@yahoo.com as I am going to
phase out the old jb_turtle address. Might help reduce the
ongoing confussion about the "enigma" of Amphipoda & Mermaid.

Wow... what a time we had! And what a great bunch of people
we met. So many Amphis my head still spins. Stay tuned as I
took copious notes and will relay my perspective as only Amphipoda
can do.
