Dave and his brown wonder

Dave, having been run out of a garage, pitch fork style, by the wife of an Amphi owner who thought he was going to sell her baby, I'm gun shy these days. I have to decline my offer for the Beloved Brown Wonder. From the tails I have read in the short time I have been on the list it'd just be plain wrong. I'd rather wait and rescue an uncared for Amphi from an early grave. I don't like the idea of being leered at and run out of town when I make my first Celina run eathier.Sorry Dave You and the Brown Wonder have become an Icon. )

Re: Dave and his brown wonder

Well, now I feel bad if one of my comments made somebody "gun shy". I
think many of us think it wouldn't be the same having Dave splashing around
in a nice red '67 or some other pretty thing instead of the Brown Wonder.
But Dave will still be Dave the Wave and I'm sure he'll still be there at
the 3 am parties. Although I won't go so far as to say "its only a car",
it is after all, Dave's choice to sell it or not, and as I believe his
family is hooked on amphicars too, he'll be around and that is really what
counts. Therefore, I recant.

Re: Re: Dave and his brown wonder

OK, OK, new I feel real bad about getting down on Dave and trying to
find the reasons behind his choice to sell or not to sell. I agree
that under all that hype and know matter what he does, Dave will still
be Dave. Who knows, maybe he would look good driving a shiny Red
Amphicar.

Dave, I take it all back, it's not up to me or anyone else to dictate
what your choice of Amphi is, we would however have to draw the line
some where, like if you chose to get out of Amphicars and into
something that didn't swim; but then again Dave would still be Dave,
he'd just look funny driving his new whatever into the water and it
didn't float.

Marty
