oil filter

Charles....

When I remove my oil filter the male threaded insert comes out of the engine
more times than not.

If it's like mine, there is a nut in the middle of the 2 threaded ends and you
can loosen it from the filter with a wrench and screw it back into the engine...
then put the new filter on.
