windshield glass - 11-14-2001, 10:49 PM

HI Craig,

We also have a windshield that feels plastic even though it is some
type of safety glass.

If you do not have the brass plug you may also have a bigger like 2
inch rubber plug these were used in the 1962 or is that a 63 or maybe
a 72 i don't know I give up anymore

My windshield is appears to be a sheet of plexiglass cut to fit. I can
see the brown paper covering left under the edges of the gasket where
they trimed it when it was installed.
As for the vin and year stuff, My car is registered as a 66 and the vin
# is 106523632. That would mean a 63 production car. The spair tire rim
is stamped 62. It has a body color dash and the raised lip. 2" bilge
plug hole.
Can anyone tell me what all thoes knobs and levers on the dash do? Not
one of them is labaled. I guess I could just step on the break and
start pulling levers to see what happens. :-)
