Having been in the river in the winter, during low
tide and getting stuck, what a familiar story. We got
stuck in the mud however, not on a stump.
What we have found is that when stumps are a
potential, GO SLOW! At least then, if you hit one, you
don't usually wind up sitting on it for long.
