Hand cuffed on Lake Geneva

Marty,

I was referring to Lake Geneva, but neglected to mention it. Tell me more
about the incident. Because of it, I have heard that Amphis are really
disliked by the residents in the area. Has anyone found that to be true?

Re: Hand cuffed on Lake Geneva

We have had so much fun the past 3 years while swimming at Lake
Geneva during their classic car show in town and the classic boat
show on the other side of the lake. The main beach is closed at that
time of the year and is really smooth and packed well for driving in
and out. Those who have been there will agree that the attention we
have gotten while giving rides on this beach are favorable to
everyone but this one cop that took it way too personal that we were
having such a good time last year that he asked us to leave and never
return because we were a danger to all the people on the deserted
beach. One observer asked the cops if they didn't have more
important things to do than harass the Amphicar fun when he should
have been a little more reserved. They had his hands behind his back
and were hauling him off as we were leaving the area. We have chosen
not to go back for a swim this year and will go to Germantown on
Castle Rock Lake 9/28-29 at The Bavarian Campsite, W4796 County
Highway G, Mauston, WI with Theresa and Horst E. 608-847-7039.
