Hello, my name is Gary Sandlass from Minneapolis
Minnesota. I have a fairly new interest in amphibious
vehicles and have been reading this list with
interest for a couple months now. I can definitely
see an amphibious vehicle in my future even though I
have never ridden in one! In order to learn more I am
thinking of making the trip to Dave the Wave's event.
However, since I do not yet own an amphi, I am hoping
to hitch a ride with someone for the Saturday river
trip. Actually, I have a couple of friends interested
also. So, we would need 3 total seats, not necessarily
all in one car. I would really appreciate knowing that
we can hitch along with someone before we make the
drive down. If anyone going has an open back seat and
is interested in sharing stories, please contact me
either offline or by phone.

I'm certain if you show up there will be plenty of room if you show
up. I have two spare spots in mine that you're welcome to. With 30
cars coming there will be no doubt you'll have a place with the other
2.

Thanks for your generous offer. Its nice to have this
arranged ahead of time. I look forward to meeting you
there! Please let me know what your favorite beverage
is and I will surely supply! Where will you be coming
from?

This leaves a need for just one more seat. I am sure
you are correct that it shouldn't be a problem but its
nice to have someone to hook up with.

Thasnks for the offer, diet coke is my poisin of choice. I live in
Chicago but I keep my amphi out at Dave the Wave's place. You won't
have asny problems getting seats, trust me, I've yet to meet an owner
who didn't get a rush out of giving rides, and first rides are
special.

I want to thank all the gracious Amphi owners for
accommodating me, my friend Steve and my Dad Bob at
the Swim-in with Dave. We came Amphi-less and had
several folks offer to give us rides. We even got
rides for the main river trip on Sat. I would like to
send a special thanks to those folks who shared their
cars, and to all who were very kind!

It was our first experience in an Amphi, and we
definely caught the bug! What a sight going down the
river!
