A Fun Time

I got a call yesterday morning from a news person at our local Santa
Barbara TV station. He had seen my White Amphicar at a recent car
show and wanted to do a piece on it. He came by with his cameraman
and an assistant at 10:30 and we drove to Lake Casitas for a
drive/swim. His crew drove along side shooting tape along the way. I
just saw the piece on the local news. It is a 3 minute piece and it
actually came out pretty good, unlike many of the stories done on
Amphicars, getting only one minor fact wrong about the wheels turning
while it's in the water. Of course I gave all of his crew rides. My
wife Toni and here girlfiend tagged along in Toni's car and after the
TV crew left we spent a couple of hours sailing around the island and
having lunch at the restaurant by the Santa Anna ramp. A good time
was had by all. I did manage to record the segment when they ran it
on a couple of newscasts.

John:

Bring the tape to Celina if you are going. I am sure all would love
to see it, including me!
