1147cc Engine on Engine Stand

What's the best way to mount your engine to an engine stand? Is the Triumph
clutch bell housing sturdy enough to let you use the four transaxle / clutch
attachment bolt holes, or should you remove the clutch and mount the engine
directly to the engine stand?
