Saturday the 18th as mostly sunny skies, 78 degrees, wind variable 5.
Arrangements have been made at Silver Lake park (campground) as a "home
base" on the lake for Friday afternoon through the noon time Sunday, so a
great place to leave ice chests, etc, or even if some of your party desires
to sit on shore for a while and socialize. There's playground and showers,
etc. Tonight, we took out the campers in the next site out for a ride
(they are there through next Sunday too), and one of the gate attendants,
so they are all looking forward to having us come. ... but we may have to
park our "boats" in a line at the boat ramp parking just a few feet away.
For early arrivals, Friday afternoon/evening can be a swim and cook out.

Saturday morning we'll meet at the IHOP at Hwy 114 and 1709 (Southlake
Blvd/Northwest Hwy exit from Hwy 114) at 9:15 am for a welcoming get
together and some food. By the way, there is a handy Walmart at the next
114 exit going west at Kimball where anybody with a trailer could find a
nice big parking lot if needed. Then from Walmart to IHOP, just stay on
the Hwy 114 frontage road headed east past 2 red lights ... its just past
Red Lobster.

Anyway, lake today was great for a swim. Visited 6 ramps and took in the
pretty sunset over the lake. Looking forward to next weekend. Remember to
