Axle sliipiing out of tranny -

Many years ago I bought a new set of axles with rubber boots from Gordon.
I installed them & the 1st time out they slipped out of the tranny.
It turned out that the boots were clamped & were so air-tight that they
created a vacuum when trying to extend, so they didn't extend. My solution
was to loosen the clamps for a few minutes,
I could actually hear the air going into the boots, then re-clamp them. End
of problem.
