AMPAMPHICAR FUEL LINES NOW AVAILIBLE

We now have our new fuel lines ready for shipment. After all the
hoo-ha last month about these darn things I did some research. It turns
out that the fitting at the Amphicar carburetor is metric and not made
anywhere at this time. The fitting at the fuel pump is 1/2 inch and it
was not availible in brass. So, we made them both. $75 including
shipping. Take a look on EBAY. We test each new fuel line on a running
motor. We can also supply fuel lines, for the same price, for those of
you who have the newer carburetors. Gordon Imports will also carry this
item. Please let us know if you have any questions. Now, we are off to
Lake Casitas for the weekend where we will swim with the Frieses and
anyone elso who shows up.

alan, on the subject of fuel lines: do you know how thick (1/16th or 1/8th) the fuel shutoff valve gasket is?

Re: AMPAMPHICAR FUEL LINES NOW AVAILIBLE

Hi Joe,

The old ones come out being about a 1/16 thick and the new ones go in
being over 1/8" thick. It's amazing what 40 years of being compressed
in gasoline can do to those things.

I sell the correct replacement disk that fits the two different
Amphicar shut off valves that I've seen.

Contact me off line if you want one or two. jfriese(at)mindspring.com
