Hello Peter,
I like the White Post people and their services. My personal belief
is that brass is a better sleeve material than stainless. Granted,
the stainless is tougher than brass but stainless steel can still
rust and brass can't. Just to complicate things a bit, I like the
brass sleeve jobs at White Post for both the master cylinder and the
slave cylinders but the rubber parts they use on the slave cylinders
are not as good as the parts that Hugh supplies. Hugh's rubber parts
for the wheel cylinders are from Germany and they seem to fit better
than the parts that White Post uses.
I don't understand your desire for stainless steel lines though since
I've never heard of the Amphicar lines failing and, at least on my
two cars, the originals were in good shape and I reused them. Of
course, replace the rubber lines.
