Amphibious Trifecta:
Saturday we journeyed to Lake Hodges
and swam in the big lake with Steve &
Connie. Amphi drove/swam well and the
awesome Mexican dinner and pitchers
of margaritas served to intensify the
freeway drive home that was filled
with honking and waving Amphi fans.
Sunday, a major goal accomplished ?
Steve took me for a swim across Mission
Bay, over Fiesta Island and around to
Sea World, through jet skier hell, and
back again. High waves, dense boating
traffic made for a very intense voyage.
Must have been over a thousand potential
mermaids waving from shore and boats.
And then, to complete the hat-trick, we
went to another inland lake (Murray) to
rinse off the salt. Only thing better
than taking my Amphicar into the sea is
going in someone else's Amphicar.
Thanks Steve! That was magic...
