work today! Still mighty cheap for what it does
but 50% more costly than a year ago. Made me
think of one of my old ideas...

Sick of paying more and more for dead dinosaur
juice (a.k.a. gasoline)? Well me too, but that's
just something we yanks are going to do no matter
what some middle east oil producing nation
charges for the stuff. But maybe we can do something
to make the stuff go further... introducing my latest
invention - the Amphi Magnetic Booster System!
Using my high-tech state-of-the-art custom extruded
niobium-stamarium-cobalt magnets, in conjunction
with your existing steel Amphi hull, Amphipoda's
Magnetic Booster System will, at the touch of a
button, magnetize your hull, by the modern miracle
of electromagnetic induction. Whatever for you ask?
When you are heading in a northerly direction, a
momentary push of the "N" button will cause your
Amphi to be magnetized so that the front of your
Amphi will be attracted toward the Magnetic North
Pole, and the rear of the Amphi will be pushed away
from the South Magnetic pole. As long as you're
pointing in a northerly direction, you get a constant
imperceptible boost from the Earth's magnetic field!
It's like an automatic tailwind... no, I'm NOT talking
flatulents.
When your travels take you in a southerly direction,
press the "S" button, and a brief stream of electrons
will be sent hurtling through the induction coil in
the opposite direction, magnetizing the Amphi hull
in the opposite polarity, so that it will be
imperceptibly drawn in the direction of the
South pole! This is so friggin' cool my
fine finned friends... imagine the savings.
Unfortunately, the current state of this technology
does not provide any boost if you're heading East or
West... but my scientists and alchemists mates are
working hard on this problem, and we expect a
breakthrough by the end of business today.
