Re: celina photo

Ken,
Just prior to snapping the picture, I believe the
photographer told some bystanders, who I assume were
not clubmembers, that they could get in the picture. I
seem to remember a few people take advantage of the
offer. If that's the case, we may never know their
names.

Great panaramic shot of our cars at Celina!!
Anyone out there feel ambitious enough to make a list of names of everyone
in the pic?
I did it last year if anyone wants a copy for the 2002 photo.

Till later.....
Ken Roy

RE: CELINA PHOTO

Since it is my 1st time.
I would like to get all the names beside all the cars in the photo.
If you could mail me off line with the placing of your car in the 55 car
photo I would sure appreciate it.

Has anyone seen their Celina Photo? Can we get something definitive
regarding the expected ETA. The last time this guy did the photo's he
messed up our order. We paid for two, one with cars only and another with
cars and owners and receive two of the same instead. This time around when
we went for the photo and paid cash we were told "to bad no receipts
available". I guess I should just be hoping he doesn't lose my info.

To be honest I'm not really sure what to expect. As I understand it we
ordered a group and individual shot.
Mike

My Amphicar bildge stayed very dry under calm conditions for long
periods of time. If I was underway with water rolling up the hood it
would leak quite a lot thru the hood to body seals. I tested with
dollar bills placed over the hood gasket and latched it closed and then
pulled the money out to find where the seal was not tight. I used paper
money because you can pull quite hard without it tearing. After
discovering where the seal was not tight I took a calking gun cartridge
of silicone sealer and filled the upper seal with sealer. I then
latched the hood fully closed and let the sealer harden. This has
reduced my hood leaks to almost none. It can be difficult to work the
sealer the full length of the hood and you need to be sure to work it
to the right thickness were gaps are big and not overfull areas that
seal
already.

Re: Celina Photo

We gotto last week and I must admit we are quite disappointed. As we expected we were dinged with another $14 taxes and told we should not have paid the taxes in Celina.
Anyhow our vote for next year would be to go back to the panoramic or something we can see as a sample before ordering. It showcased the cars and the people quite abit better in our opinion.
Looking forward to next year's amphi season already...although it has been a great fall, we has amphi out just before Halloween and it was quite warm.

Celina Photo

We received ours a week or so ago and I really like it! After all the
comments I'd like to say "great idea" Gloria and anyone else who thought up
the photo shoot. One aerial shot is probably enough but it made for a great
change of pace. It looks good framed too.

Thanks
Mike

PS: Scott Moses, Did you get my email about the clear lens and water pump?
I have a used lens which is real nice you can have. Just cover the shipping
$5 bucks. I have a new chrome ring I can put on it too. I have a new pump
in the box. It looks correct. If there were no differences in the pumps on
a 1147, 1300 or 1500 engine (I'm not sure so maybe someone can help answer
this) then this one fits for sure. If you need these let me know.
