Fuel tap - 04-22-2006, 08:18 PM

Does anyone know if any other cars use the same fuel tap as our Amphi?
Or does anyone have a working used one they would like to sell? Mine
is busted.

I was thinking about this, and it occurs to me that most motorcycles
have a fuel tap that works more or less like the amphis. You might
have to do a little custom fab work to fit the handle, but I would bet
you could find something that fits if you took it by your local bike
shop. If someone can tell me the the size and thread pitch, I can ask
around here...

John,

I believe they were used in early Porsches but since you're
practically in walking distance of Hugh's, why don't you just get one
from him?

When you get that car ready to go why don't you meet Allan Woodcock
and I at Lake Casitas for a swim? I'm in Santa Barbara and he's
around Agoura Hills but we both meet rather regularly for swims at
Lake Casitas which is behind Ventura.

Thanks John. I think I will call Hugh for one. I'd love to join you and Allan,
but it's been a very
slow resoration. But as soon as it's done, I'm there!
