Tranny Out!

Just finished pulling the transmission. Thanks for everyones advice!

A bunch of mayonaise dripped out, and one of the tunnels was shredded
and apparently replaced with a piece of stove pipe wrapped in an inner
tube. *sigh*

Professional. Truly professional.

On a semi related note, does anyone sell tunnel repair pieces?

I have yet to try and tear the transmission apart, I suspect its going
to need some love as well. Looks like I'm putting Hughs kids through
college. And post-grad. ;-)

On the plus side, I can finally take a pressure washer to the hull and
blow out several decades of accumulated grime. Yee. Haw.

Collapsing.....now.

On the Club Classifieds page at http://www.amphicar.com/ads_fs_wtb_svs.htm
you'll find Chris' "Driveshaft Tunnel Replacement Ends" about two thirds of
the way down the page.
