Sooo.... we can do all our own research, testing, etc., and come
up with something that might (or might not) be up to the task, or we
can call the Gordons and get parts designed and engineered for the
job. It doesn't seem that difficult a decision to me.

I call it the mad scientist theory. Not very long ago the Amphi was kind of an
unknown. Mostly owned by independent thinker types. Even if parts are available
the extra challenge of creating repair parts has captivated owners. Even though
current demographics are changing , there still is a large group of independent
thinkers, inventors, plain old tinkerers. Plus everyone knows Minnesota folks
