Weight of Front End - 05-19-2006, 03:15 PM

The weight specs of the Amphicar (from the maintenance manual) are: Weight w/ filled tank: 2,292.8# Permissable Total: 2,954.18# Permissable Front Axle Load: 1,128.77# Permissable Rear Axle Load: 1,825.41# Has anyone weighed their car to see what load the front springs actually see in "normal" operation (1 or 2 passengers w/load of fuel & perhaps a 12v or gasoline-powered blender in the trunk) Thanks, --Larry
