My amphi always runs in the normal range regardless of outside
temperature and number of people or weight on board. I use all the
stock stuff however I did have a new radiator core installed on the
original amphi tanks. Clean and flush the entire system including the
heater core every year and fill with a new 50/50 antifreeze mixture.
As mentioned the top radiator seal needs to be on plus engine timing
correct, etc. I also made an in-line bilge blower for the rear
compartment so when you shut the engine off (in or out of the water)
it doesn't overheat and peg the temperature gauge. The blower is
mounted on the muffler side and blows all the hot air out of the
engine compartment while sitting. This allows for easier starting
after shutting off especially on a hot day and prevents the dreaded
vapor lock.
