Tank Cleaning

Based on advice from an earlier posting, I have been trying to find a
local radiator shop that will clean out and coat the inside of my fuel
tank. The going rate appears to be about $130. Does this sound
reasonable, or should I keep looking?

Re: Tank Cleaning

Hi: I had mine cleaned and sealed for $125. They had to put a hole in the side and use a cleaning 'chain' because the fuel was in there since around 1976. They then brazed it shut. Works great! Amphigr66n.

Re: Tank Cleaning

Be careful what you seal it with. The new gas with ethalene stripped the coating off my tank with the first tank.
