While in Celina I purchased an Amphi from the 2 children of the
original owner who had 2 dealerships in Ohio. This particular car was
on stage with The Beatles in Cleveland on August 14, 1966. This was
just 2 weeks before thier famous final public concert in Candlestick
Park. This show was marred by the crowd rushing the stage which led to
the Beatles decision to stop live shows forever.
I will tell more of the story in an upcoming newsletter! Yea, ya just
gotta wait for it!
If anyone has a story about thier Amphi, please send it in to me so we
can share it with all our wonderful club members. These cars often
have great stories with them and it would be a shame not to share them.
On anther note, if your car was sold in Ohio originally, send me your
VIN. I have a large amount of original paperwork and memorobilia from
2 dealerships (watch the website for some) with original VIN tags and
invoices. If I have yours, I would love to provide you with what I can.
