Front bumper bolts - 04-30-2007, 04:01 PM

Hi Everyone,

One of our friendly customers, who is also a competitor, stopped by
today thinking our incredibly low price for the front bumper bolt
means it is stainless steel. We want everyone to know three things:

1. Our bolt is chrome plated and has the preferred chrome-like
blue color.
2. Our bolt is the only Amphicar bolt available with the
correct dome shape. The original Amphicar production bolt featured
a raised dome, almost the same as a half of a chrome ball bearing.
Our friendly competitor's bolt is almost flat. You can easily see
our original type chrome bolt from six feet away. With our Amphicar
increasing in value, original appearance is extremely important.
Flat is not good.
3. Our incredible regular and discounted prices remain the
same. We have no plans to raise them. To save our Amphicar owners
as much as possible, we supply the longer of the two bolts. We
could have made two separate length bolts, but why? Our customers
would pay the price, a much higher price. Besides, in some
countries, the longer bolt must be used for front license plate and
bracket hook up. The longer type allows for fog lamps or depth
gauge pickups. (It's amazing how forward thinking Amphicar planned
its production.)

Bolt Future
If Amphicar values continue to escalate, we may switch over to both
lengths. For now, we offer a 14 bolt package for only $26.60.
(Today's ending e-mail Weekend Special, they are only $17.50.) You
could order the flat type for $70.00, but why would you?
