Re: Re: windshield washer pump

I agree now that mine was an after market. However, it has been proven that some amphi's came from the factory with washers. Good exchange. My aftermarket system works fine now.

Hi Glenn,

No, your system sounds like an after market add-on. The Canadian cars
didn't have the bilge blower and the washer was built into the wiper
switch. You turned the knob to engage the wipers and you pulled the
knob to squirt the washer fluid. The fluid bottle was a plastic
bottle located under the hood just alongside the brake fluid container
and the squirter nozzle was mounted between the wipers on the cowl.

Portland dealer. I guess it could have crossed the border. I don't
know. I ran into the fellow that I bought the car from Sunday at home
depot. He told me that the washer was on it when he had it (20 years)
and that the previous owner may have put it on. I thought I was the< BR="">third owner, but just learmed that the 1st owner had the car a very
short time. Puts me in 4th place, but the car is still a native
Oregonian by ownership.

push button switch mounted under and besides the blower kill switch.
That button drove me nuts trying to figure out what it was for. Does
this sound like your installation??
