Vent Glass Replacement

Hi Gang. Any tips on removing the old busted glass, and getting the new
in without cracking it?

Thanks
Dan

Re: Vent Glass Replacement

Dan,

I found the vent glass replacement to be tricky. If you don't get
glass totally seated, the window won't close right. Also, I ran into
problems with the various thicknesses of the seating rubber. If you
don't get the right thickness in the area of the vent handle, it will
wobble and hit the inner catch. I finally took it to an auto glass
place, explained the problems and he did it again in just a few
minutes and I think he charged me about $20. Well worth it.
