Speedometer Cable - Update - 10-21-2007, 12:00 PM

Hi->>

>>

Thanks to those who responded to my request for information
on replacing a speedometer cable, a new cable was installed with minimum
difficulty. Because the cable is installed along the route of the gas
line (at least in my Amphi) and is anchored in several places by clips attached
to the frame, it would have been impossible to snake the cable through.>>

>>

As you may know, the cable has to be threaded from the rear
to the front. My suggestion is to cover the front end including the
threaded finger nut with black tape or equivalent in order to keep under the
floor debris from getting into the treads or cable end.>>
