Here you will find a wealth of information and history. Everything from negative ground conversions to body panel adhesives and Wonder Woman's invisible car. The search capabilities on the new forum will make finding this information much faster and easier than ever before.

Conversion was not simple. Yahoo does not let go of archived messages without a fight!! I am not 100% satisfied with the formating but will tweak it in the coming days. There are also some "empty" or dublicate messages that will need to get pruned. It will happen. For now, I wanted to make the content available. (previous YahooGroup members can still also view the archives there).

Al Heath also provided me copies of the ORIGINAL ListBox postings (these include the very first amphicar-lovers message to about 8 people some 10+ years ago). It will take a little work to get these converted but it is on the "to do" list.

I have also added a few new features to the site. First off there is an automatic image resizer which makes it much easier to post pictures with your posts without worrying that they exceed size limits. It is all done automagically.

I have also added a spell checker to the on-line editor. (Look in the upper right hand corner when you type in a message. I looks like the letters "abc" with a check mark underneath.

No promises as to when, but we are also working on a full text, daily digest for those who requested this option.

I would like to thank all those who have contributed/donated to supporting the site. I also want to thank those who have signed up as ad sponsors. To date I probably have almost $1,000 invested, and hundreds of hours. It will likely never be profitable but if it breaks even I will be happy! No contribution is too large or too small!

Good morning Mike,
This is an amazing job! Thank you so much for these efforts.
I would like to propose that we all kick in a small contribution to Mike for
his tireless efforts, and to reimburse him for his out of pocket expenses at
the very least. We all know, and use, and love, this list, and it has
provided valuable information to every one of its members.
If we all contributed even $20, $50, or $100, it would make a decent dent in
the expenses that Mike has had to lay out, and maybe even direct something to
him for his time and effort as well.
Hell, if we could all contribute $100.00 each to help Billy Syx get his
sorry ass off of that rock near the dam, while he was out flirting with those
gorgeous Russian ladies, then we can help Mike pay for this effort. I use this
list every day, but I never even got to meet Billy's Russian friends!
Can Mike or someone else set up a place to Paypal a contribution, or can we
direct it to your email address. This is definitely a worthwhile cause, and we
need to thank him for all of his efforts!

Hi All,

I had to redo everything this afternoon but the archives now look MUCH better. I eliminated the bizzare nesting of messages that you were seeing as well as the duplicate messages within many of the posts. You can visit them at:

If you tried visiting the site earlier today it was probably terribly SLOW. Blame it on me. The imports were putting the servers to the test!

So, we now have everything on line back to when we were on eGroups but with greatly improved search capability. I do hope to get the original listbox messages available eventually. Just not quite sure how to do this yet.

Good news / bad news. After being out of work since late November, today I accepted a new job. Start date will be either this Monday or next. This will definitely cut into my time playing here but it also pays better.

Hi Mike,
I was getting the email messages for postings fine for
a couple of weeks after correcting the problem of them
going into the junk / bulk folders but all of a sudden
over the weekend I am not receiving the messages even
though I logged into the site and see there are many.
They are not going into the bulk folder but are not
coming at all. I wen the the "user cp" link but can't
find where to reset the option. I'm hoping that
selection just got turned off.

Is there a method to do a search on the archives? I might be doing something wrong, but when I do a search I just come up with all of the latest posts!!

By default you will search in whatever foorum area you happen to be in (i.e. for sale, iaoc, etc).
Go to the archives section and then do your search.*
