Re: Help with Wiper Blades and/or Arms - 02-15-2008, 08:07 AM

Do not forget the pivots. These are the parts the wiper arm slides over. They usually have grooves wore into them. Also look closely at area of body they bolt to. Good chance of crack developing, usually on passenger side. Later Dave the Wave

Actually, as I think about it, my wiper arms are securely fastened to the pivot posts without any issues. But I cannot find a blade support or blade that attaches securely to the wiper arm, which has a simple rectangular cross section, and I beleive that it might also have a small hole in the end where a tab might fit into the detent, but I can't remeber for certain. Does anyone have any photos of the original arm end so I cna determine whether mine are original or not?
Thanks,
Chas

My wipers have not worked well for many years, as they throw the blade off of the arm, every time they are turned on. Please let me know how much money to send you, and I can do a Paypal. Thanks,Charles

Charles, Jack et all. I went to my supplier this morning. He does not have
any in stock and it will take 3 weeks or so to get them. I would like to know
how many sets to buy. I thought that I still had an extra set but I checked
and I don't. My best guess on the cost would be 15 dollars for the set and what
every shipping would be.

I have several sets of these adapters already drilled out and ready to go (with set screws) as noted in my post above. If Keith can’t get them from his supplier I usually get $20 for the pair which includes shipping. Dig thru this past year’s copies of the W&W newsletter and you will see a picture of the wipers and adapters along with the article. I have been using this set up for 4 years now and they work fine.

Ron it real would be great if You put together a complete kit. I would think the Club would support any costs involved. This is one of those things the Club should be used for. Later Dave the Wave

Hey Ron, So as to not hold anybody up, go ahead and send then to the folks
that are looking for them. The cost would be the same either way.
