Climbing in the Google rankings! - 03-12-2008, 09:43 AM

Hi All,

Today I noticed that the amphicar lovers forum is now the 3rd listed entry in a Google search for "amphicar". Not bad considering we moved here about 3 months ago. I see this as a positive thing since forums like this spread the word about the amphicar to people around the globe and provide a repository of information that will outlast us all.

We are now at 203 members which may seem like fewer than what we had at yahoogroup but keep in mind that MANY of those were old, inactive accounts. In addition to registered users we get about 100 unregistered visitors per day (about a 1/3rd of these are spammers trying to sell you porn or fake meds, all sucessfully thwarted to date).

Thanks to all those who have donated to covering the expenses related to setting this up and keeping it running. Thanks also to our advertising sponsors (yes, Hugh Gordon is also one of them, I just need to get his ad integrated). With the rapidly rising Google rankings, hopefully you will see your ads as a good investment versus old school media like hemmings!

Mike I.

Thank you Mike for making all this happen! We Amphicar aficionados
have much to thank for your commitment and expertise in navigating the
internet waters. Hopefully a side benefit of all this work is
increased knowledge and skills for your own career advantage.

Best regards,
Ken Chambers, CA
