Your thoughts on new feature for amphi-lovers.

Hi All,

I am considering adding a feature to the site that will allow people to sell Amphicar related items as either classifieds or auctions similar to eBay.

I am thinking that this might be of value since:

1) evilBay has significantly increased its comission fees lately. If I add a similar feature here there would be zero comissions to worry about.
2) the audience for amphi parts and such is probably people already on this list.

What do you think? Worth doing or not?

Mike

Mike,

I think it would be a desirable feature for those wishing to deal only
with our close knit Amphicar community. You must be having fun making
this Discussion group the best around.

More work for you, Mike, but a nice feature for participants. I suspect you
would attract a whole different class of potential participants, which might
add the requirement of some sort of moderator "vetting" prior to allowing
membership.

I am game. To help get it started-because still a lot of people are not looking at forum - I will post some smaller parts with proceeds going back to here.

Thumbs up Re: Your thoughts on new feature for amphi-lovers.

Mike,
I have lots of good extra parts that I would love to sell or trade on the amphicar website. It does sound like a lot of work to set up though. If you're willing to set something up, I'll use it.

Just read this note. I think it would be a nice idea to try. I'm for it. If it doesn't work we can always revamp the idea. Ina in the Boro
