Just wanted to let everyone know that this year's Austin Amphicar Swim-in will be held at Lake LBJ on 4/25 thru 4/27. We will visit the LBJ Ranch and show our cars next to LBJ's Blue Amphicar on Saturday, April 26th from 10:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Below is the itinerary for the weekend. There's is always room for one more car, so if anyone is interested, don't hesitate to email or call.
Here is the place that we are booked for the 25th and the 26th. Check your favorite "Maps" program for your best route. Keep in mind that many of the county roads are dirt roads in this part of Texas.

Check-in time is 3:00 PM on Friday and check-out time on Sunday is 11:00 AM. We will leave on Saturday morning around 9:15 - 9:30 for the LBJ Ranch and stay there until around 2:30 PM. There will be at least two bus tours that we will have to answer questions about the Amphicar. Unless, you bring your bicycle. This is bicycle tour weekend and you could ride your bike, at your own pace, throughout the park. We'll have to figure out how we could put our bikes in the back seat of the Amphicar to transport them from the RV/Condo Park to the LBJ Ranch without ripping anything.
As far as food goes... We'll supply the brisket, coleslaw, potato salad, plastic plates and plastic utensils for Friday night dinner. We could make eggs, sausage and bacon for breakfast and make sandwiches for Saturday's lunch at the Ranch. We could go into Fredericksburg after the car show ends at 2:30 PM and eat dinner, before we head back to the RV Park and our late night swim. On Sunday we could have eggs, et. al., before we load up and hit the road, after we have our morning swim of course.
